Song Of The Day: "The Sound" by the 1975

healygion.tumblr.com

2016 has finally kicked in with the first New Music Friday of the year. With that, a couple of songs caught my attention, one of which was by perennially amazing band The 1975. Indie-pop bands like Phoenix, Passion Pit, Two Door Cinema Club, and this one all tend to sound alike, but a couple of hits break apart from that whole boy-playing-pop-guitar persona.

While "Girls" was quite good and "Robbers" seems to be a fan favorite, their new single "The Sound" is by far their best piece of work.

This is solely due to the presence of a rave piano. As we all know, rave pianos are some of the best instruments ever. It gave Petite Meller a number 5 position on our best singles list.

Wise choice boys.
